How we write and check this site

24 Hour Finance NZ publishes guides to help New Zealand business owners understand business funding, especially when time is short. These are the standards we hold ourselves to.

Sources

We research every fact, threshold and date against official New Zealand sources, preferring material published or updated between 2024 and 2026. Those include Inland Revenue (ird.govt.nz), business.govt.nz, the Companies Office and the Personal Property Securities Register, Land Information New Zealand, the NZBN register, Employment New Zealand, legislation.govt.nz, the Department of Internal Affairs, Payments NZ and the Banking Ombudsman Scheme. Each page lists its main sources. If we can't verify a figure, we don't publish it.

Speed claims

Speed is the subject of this site, so we're careful with it. We describe timeframes as "possible", never guaranteed, and explain what they depend on: documents, property titles, valuations, lawyers, signers and the business-day calendar.

What we don't publish

• Interest rates or "from" rates — every loan is priced on the business's own circumstances.
• Testimonials, reviews, ratings or invented statistics.
• Real client names or confidential funding figures. Examples are clearly marked as illustrative.

Updates and corrections

Tax dates, contribution rates and rules change. We review pages regularly and update them when official guidance changes. If you spot something that looks wrong or out of date, please tell us through the contact page and we'll check it promptly.

General information

Our guides are general information about business funding in New Zealand. They don't take your particular circumstances into account. For tax or legal questions about your own situation, talk to your accountant or lawyer.
