FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about speed, documents, eligibility and what happens after you enquire.
Can my business really be funded within 24 hours?
It's possible, not guaranteed. Same-day funding is possible for smaller unsecured amounts. Property-secured loans of $20k to $250k are possible same day, and up to $5m is possible within 24 to 48 hours when the title is clean and documents arrive quickly.
Does enquiring affect my credit score?
No. There's no credit check when you first enquire. A credit check is only discussed after you've heard your options and decided to proceed.
Will my details be passed to lots of lenders?
No. One team reads your enquiry and a real person calls you. We don't spray your details around, so you won't be flooded with calls.
How much can a business borrow?
Property-secured business loans run from $20,000 to $5,000,000. Unsecured and cash-flow options for trading businesses are typically $5,000 to $500,000, depending on turnover.
What documents do I need?
Usually six months of statements for every business account, current ID for each director and guarantor, your Companies Register details, a myIR summary and, for secured loans, property title details. Our documents checklist has the full list.
Can I get a business loan with IRD debt?
Yes, it's considered case by case. Many fast loans are used to clear GST, PAYE or income tax debt, often paid directly to Inland Revenue.
What if I've had credit problems?
Past defaults and arrears are considered case by case. Property security usually helps most, and an honest explanation upfront speeds things up.
Do I need property to borrow?
No. Unsecured and cash-flow options are assessed mainly on bank statements. Property opens up larger amounts and can help with newer businesses or past credit issues.
Can I use my home as security for a business loan?
Yes, for a genuine business purpose. Everyone on the title will normally need to agree, sign and get independent legal advice.
Why don't you show interest rates?
Because every loan is priced on the business's own circumstances — the security, term, purpose and risk. A specialist explains the full cost before you commit.
Can funding happen at the weekend?
Everyday bank payments between participating New Zealand banks now process every day, so approved unsecured funds can land at weekends. Property settlements still happen on business days.
Do sole traders qualify?
Yes. Sole traders, partnerships, companies and trusts can all borrow for business purposes.
Can the money be paid straight to the person I owe?
Often, yes — for example to Inland Revenue, a supplier, a vendor's lawyer or an existing lender.
What's the readiness check?
A free ten-question tool that scores how ready your business is for a fast decision and prints a to-do list. It runs in your browser and doesn't involve a credit check.
Is this for personal loans too?
No. We help with finance for business purposes only.
What happens after I enquire?
A specialist reads your enquiry and calls you, usually within a few hours during the working day. They'll confirm the figures, tell you whether your timeline is realistic and list exactly what documents to send.
Still have a question? The quickest way to an answer about your own situation is a 60-second enquiry — a real person will call you.
